Ni gamba masa aku kat Penang ada conference. Bawak satu family, and RingSling ni aku beli dari Syaz Jumpsacbaby -- fresh baru dapat sehari sebelum ke Penang. Ni first RS ku, it's linen and memang BEST and memang suka suka suka sangat-sangat..
Masa ni after breakfast, Faris sangat sukaa dok dalam RS ni, terus tido, and mummy bleh duduk2 santai sambil tengok kakak & abang mandi manda...


p/s hadiah dari snuggbaby tuh... ;) sungguh mata duitan eh hadiah ku ini!!

NASI LEMAK KOPI O

Pagi ni awal2 lagi dah dok ngadap TV, jgn terkejut, TV9 lagi.. tak pernah2 bukak tengok TV9, pagi ni kul 8 lebih aku dah ngadap tv tuh siap rebut remote dgn HaziQ lagi hahah

around 9am tu, Adriana, MBW PR pon keluar, citer psl babywearing ni.. she started ith pouch, and she in fact carried Shiera's daughter in it... so cute Audra.. then ringsling.. and also wraps. She made wrapping looks easy peasy made me want to try wrapping... owh nooo..

Part paling aku nervous bila Faradeeba tanya price.. hahah in fact, dia macam sangat berkenan dengan wraps Adrin, (kalu la ramai yang tau harga wraps tu sure ramai mode pengsan!!) hahahha. There's also mei tai.. tp kejap sangat, ada lah 10minutes je kot.. mana la sempat nak citer sume mende kan...

nway, twas a good start............. for babywearing... and for babywearers community

MEGAKIDS

Last week Fatini dapat invitation classmate dia nye bday party kat Megakids, MV. Punyala dia excited sampai reply card tu dia yg isi and tulis nama sume orang dalam rumah ni including Kak Kun & Cik Su dia!

Dan disebab kan nak entertain anak2 punya pasal, mummy tak gi susuibu.com nye SGM tau.. uhuk uhuk.. nak sangat pegi sebab tak pernak lagi pegi sejak Faris lahir... paling nak pegi sebab ada MBW team... leh try test carriers yang lain, tul tak???


So, pagi ni, around 10am, ku bawak Fatini & Haziq je & SIL aku.. Memula nak bawak Faris tp tak jadik sebab takut lama sangat plus aku tanak direct BF dia, n*pple ku sakit lagi huwarghhh aci kah??

Sampai tu, dah ramai gak classmates dia register.
Register kan Fatini then Haziq aku 'check in' biasa punye.
Per entry during weekends is RM25 for 2-6yo and RM12.50 for <2yo.
Kalu shop & drop plak, mau RM35/hour.. 2 guardians are allowed FOC.
Tp kena pakai socks ye, baik budak mau pon mak bapak budak... aku mmg dah ready bawak socks utk bebudak ni, tp takde la plak hangkut socks aku & SIL.
DH dah sound tp selambak aku ckp, "orang besar tak yah kot..." hahhaha free2 Jusco dapat RM10 utk 3psg stokins heheh

Masuk lam tu, Haziq cam tatau nak main apa.. Fatini takyah cakap laa.. dia dgn kawan2 dia main dah tak nampak mak bapak dah..
Suruh Fatini ajak Haziq main, aku nampak la dia cuba tarik Haziq naik.. mende2 tu tinggi sangat utk Haziq panjat, plus dia bukan adventrous type tang panjat-memanjat ni unlike Fatini!

So, aku ajak dia masuk dalam, main kat tempat toddlers (actually utk less than 3yo ye)..
Best nye kalu bawak Faris, bleh dia lepas bebas... next time la cayang ye...

Then 11 lebih, masuk dlm event room tu, memula aku tanak bawak Haziq, yelah kalau ikutkan mana la dia dijemput, tp kesian pulak... so aku bwk la dia masuk sekali.. tp dia tak join games.
Fatini main game "mystery box" (ala-ala musical chair tu), kena tang dia sib baik terus dapat mystery gift. Kalu la kena menyanyi ke menari ke sah dia terus 'hujan' kat situ...!

pastu bila nak main games lain, hmm tak payah laa.. Fatini start anti-sosial and pasang muka cam suruh terjun lombong! Mencuka tahap cipan.. geram aku dibuat nye.. nak suruh dia enjoy2 ngan kawan2 dia, dia leh plak pasang muka nak menangis sepanjang masa...

pastu time makan, aku duduk kan je Haziq sekali.. aku cakap kalu ada rezeki Haziq dapat la Haziq makan sekali.. kalu tak, share lah sepinggan dgn Fatini.. alhamdulillah ada rezeki Haziq.. so dia makan sosej dgn seronot nye, siap amik Fatini punya!!

Pastu, ada games lagi then lastly, potong kek.. hahahah sila teka di manakah anakanda2 tu dok masa tu???






of course la sebelah birthday boy, sket lagi mau sesarkan bday boy hahhaha

Haziq tengok kek gamba Ben 10 tu, mmg dah tak segan silu dah.. "lantak awak la, malas mummy nak larang ahahhaha"

Pas potong kek, ada plak maskot citer Barney tu.. sape ekk Baby Bop ke?? yang kaler kuning tu.. hmm Fatini takut, Haziq pon takde la berani sangat...

Haziq makan 2 keping kek, takpe lah sebab Fatini tak makan, kira dia amik portion kakak lah tu..

pastu, sambung main lagi.... nway, "Thanks Puan Fatin & family for inviting us... am sure the kids had fun.. and Happy Birthday Hakeem Hadi"

bebudak ni cam dah penat, tp layan SIL jab nak gi nengok hp. Dia nak carik LG Lollipop.. comel, tp flip phone -- a no-no for me!!

Hmm rase cam nak let go HTC aku lah... nak tuka Sony Ericsson for better camera phone aci tak?? Ada orang mau kaa??? Tip top tau, baru je 2 bulan umo nye... :p

then, lunch @ McD sebab cam dah kenyang tp kena jugak lunch..
bebudak ni tak makan pon, just sundae ice cream and some fries for them...


BENDERA MERAH

aku plak, pastu singgah 'cik TOI' aramak... bendera merah ke??? Pelik bin ajaib nih... baru 9 bulan,, takkan la kot??? arghhh tidak... malam tadi baru je berura-ura nak order try fleece CP MamaPatch, tp tak kisah nak dapat lambat sebab tak 'bejot' lagi.. tp nih??? Owhhh bahaya nih bahaya..... bahaya kepada production susu ku dan juga "perancangan keluarga"....


before balik singgah Crocs sebab aku nak beli Olivia, yeayy akhirnye, beli jugaks in my size!.. dapat RM20 voucher, aku bagik SIL aku beli kasut dia..



itulah kisah nye... peenat tul!!

Ingat kang kalau larat & tak hujan petang ni nak gi melawat anak kecik Salwa @ ibukauthar di hospital Serdang... kesian dah dekat seminggu kat hospital... "Please get well soon, Aisyah yang comel gebuz..."

Faris : 9 bulan

alhamdulillah anak mummy dah 9 bulan..

dah boleh berdiri2 and menyusur sofa.
tangga pon dah panjat sampai 3-4 anak tangga (owhh mummy lom beli safety gate lagi..)
(tu stokin mamapayish bagik present kat Payish.. TQ mamapayish :D)

now dah introduce makan bubur campur ayam atau ikan.. dia suka je..
nampak je orang tengah makan, mesti mulut tu tercepak-cepak and cakap "mamam.. mamam.. mamam..."
pastu nganga je kalau orang suap -- haaa tang ni payah sket.. kalu mummy memang nak suap tu tgk jugak la apa jenis makanan nye, tp kalu orang lain, sume balun suap kat dia.. sabo je lah!! tengok2 la jugak kan, jgn la junk food pon bagik kat kenit ai tuh!!

"hmm mamam otoman abang pon cedap.."

dah bleh cakap sepatah dua or ikut orang cakap

now perasan dah kurang mengigit.. (tp kalau gigit pon, mummy la yg selalu jadik mangsa. Tak paham naper dia tanak gigit daddy??)
n*pple mummy pon dia dh tak gigit sangat, sekali sekala je gigit manja, tp kena constantly remind dia, slow talk cakap "jangan gigit... jangan tarik tau..."

tido makin kurang, tp malam kul 9 tu dah sibuk ajak naik tido (ye, anak teruna ai ni mmg nak terus naik tido dalam bilik, dalam gelap atas katil okeh!)
pastu kul 6 terus bukak mata and sengih... time orang nak bersiap mandi solat tu la dia bangun.. sabo je lah..

and sejak January ari tu, dia dah tak kena wheezing attck tu. Hari tu demam seminggu pon alhamdulillah no wheezing despites batuk & kahak.


tapi dia still maintain title "mat sengih".. sengih memanjang!!!

My O&A : review

my first impression when i received the carrier:


- excited... of course!

- "cantik nye.. tak nyesal beli" - love the print, love the fabric

- BUT i hate the big buckles & webbings yang berselirat di sana sini..

then after few times practising indoor and outdoor.. I REALLY LOVE THIS CARRIER!!


COME, look at the carrier's features...

LOVEs & HATEs

1) In general: very sturdy and supportive to carry bigger, heavier child. Baby's weight is distributed over both ur shoulders and waist..

at first, i almost cry to see the big buckles and webbing. Rase semak sangat mata.. serabut & looks BULKY. (compare dgn ringsling memang la kan hahaha)

But kYaz convinced me that the big buckles and bulkiness that make it sturdy! and yup i come to agree to it..

2) Fabric & print: it's made of quality twill & cotton. The print is called "Flourish" on "taupe straps".

It's gender neutral (GN) bak kata kak Yaz, and true.. it's flowery but still can be worn by daddy...

3) Waist strap: easy to buckle unbuckle. Padding tebal and very supportive. I like the curvy pattern. It has dual adjustable straps ie u can adjust the straps from both side

4) Shoulder straps: soft padding but enuff for my comfort.

Cuma the webbing (strap utk ketatkan the shoulder) susah nak tarik - u have to pull it up to tighten. Kekadang kena mintak DH tolong tarikkan dari belakang.

Or, ku adjust siap2 then terus pakai je..

That is the disadvantage, bila orang lain pakai kena readjust balik....

there is elastic bands on each webbing -- to rolled up the extra webbing for more neat look!

5) Chest strap: it's called chest strap cos when 'back carry' the strap will be in front of ur chest ie slightly higher than ur boobs. When front carry, it'll be at your back -- slightly at or above your shoulder blade.

Tujuan - utk tak bagi shoulder straps terjatuh/slip from your shoulder.

It's easy to reach (to buckle unbuckle).

Tapi sebab soft padding at the shoulder strap, bila tarik chest strap utk ketatkan, shoulder strap akan 'berkedut'. But that won't affect the function much. The tighter the chest strap the better, but u will feel 'tak best' with the shoulder strap 'berkumpul/kedut' macam tu (err paham ke?)

6) Hood: it's non-detachable. It's good cos u wont misplace it! And bonus for O&A, it has a 'magic pocket' to stuff the pocket in when not in use.

The hood clip -- i hate it! They look fragile. Difficult to clip, unclip!

Before this they come with snap buttons, which makes the carrier reversible too! But with the D-ring on the shoulder strap (D-ring to clip the hood), this carrier can't be reversible (plus because of the harness)

7) Infant harness: Brilliant idea!! It's adjustable to 3 heights -- thus can be used from small baby to toddlerhood! (jimaatt kann??)

Prevents small baby from 'sinking' in the carrier.

Also as safety feature.

and a BONUS, u dont have to take out your baby when swapping the carrier to another user!!

Also easy / more confident to swap baby from front carry to back carry and vice versa.. (but i still need assistant!)

8) Seat dart: especially if ur baby is not so petite like my Faris bam bam . Seat dart makes baby more comfortable in the carrier. U will feel it too... if not, 'perut berlemak mummy berlaga perut' la i tell you.. lol

9) Folding: it has elastic strap to keep the carrier rolled up neatly, err.. i still dont master this! Still more room for improvement!

10) Price: aiyooo dont want to reveal here lah.. carik sendiri lah. I never tot that i would buy some thing like this, but honestly, IT'S WORTH THE MONEY I PAID FOR!!

11) Others:

- it's bulky! It requires space in your diaper bag! If not in use, aiyooo pening mau simpan mana..

In conclusion, this is way better than JS SSC when it comes to size. JS SSC maybe more for petite Asian momma... ME? Asian momma but not so petite... :p

When i tried compare with JS SSC, the disadvantages are :

1) Its body is rather small. For Faris, the tester SSC is just nice for him at his age now (though he can't arms out), but when he grew bigger/taller? I don't think the carrier would fit him anymore. -- maybe if JS can come with a bigger body? Custom-made maybe?

2) Hood is too? big. Detachable is ok, but if it comes with a pocket at the waist strap (like in Beco carrier) it would be an ideal to keep the hood.

3) Shoulder straps a bit too small -- wider maybe better. Err i'm talking about me - THE giant wide shouldered mummy..

AND I wish JS SSC can be custom made -- the fabric selections, the color for straps choices etc.. i know our resources are limited and our market is not as wide (yet), but some fabric selections and straps in various colours may attract more buyers?? Maybe...


WELL, if i don't 'meet' kYaz, surely JS SSC will be mine......... (i don't know if Syaz would entertain my 'custom-wishes'?)


Anyway, this review is based on my limited experiences...

i'm planning to grab Mamapatch Raw Silk ringsling...

why another RS? - saje suka suki..


and why Raw Silk?? I already have linen RS (honestly i LOVE linen RS!! it's the best!) so i'm thinking of trying other material... not cotton as i think it's 'warmer' than linen, but silk?? I heard it's cooling?? hmm... wanna give it a try..



i plan to have it in V-tail -- more stylo

also have a pocket -- easy for me to stuff my hp and baby's cloth towel in..

and this time i want a 'colour' RS, my RS is in Earth colour -- i went with natural colour then, so now i wanna add colour to it!!



BUT:



this RS comes in 2 tones -- according to Chin Nee the Mamapatch towkey - the pocket does not look nice on the 2-tone RS, i'll take her word for that...


alternative would be single tone RS with matching colour pocket




So, i have to come up with a combo for the RS and matching pocket...




at first i'm thinking of creamy/burgundy OR Fresh spring

this is the cream/burgundy with V-tail. The burgundy fabric? I LOIKE!!! If Burgundy be my main fabric, would the cream match for the pocket?? or does it match with other color? What do u think?



this is the green fresh spring, look at the V-tail... if i to choose the green for main fabric, which green should i take?? The darker green and match with the bright green for pocket?? Will that be a nice RS IRL (in real life)?? or vice versa?? (hmmm now i'm thinking of the light green with dark green pocket.....)

this is the normal straight tail... that's what i mean by single-tone with matching pocket (err this one got no pocket i think?)

this is cool winter with straight tail and pocket.. this is nice too ehh...

my first SSC

Aku dok sibuk2 nak mencarik SSC kan...

Pastu aku dok melangut kat MBW..

Pastu aku try test MT (mei tai) Hanim, then aku try test SSC Syaz Jumpsac. Baca psl MT and Jumpsac SSC tester.

Kat MBW aku kenal ramai BW otais... macam2 aku baca tentang MT, SSC, wraps (yet to try this one.. rase tanak lah, takut hook hahha)..

Antara nye aku kenal Kak Yaz - she's a mother of 6, very passion (addicted?) to strollers.. in fact dulu2 masa aku rajin bloghopping aku pernah gak terjah blog stroller kak yaz ni.. Kyaz kira baru in BW.. so dia dok mencarik SSC jugak..

tp kyaz ni bagus, berani cuba.. so dia beli SSC Jumpsac and later she bought O&A (Olive and Applesauce) SSC - a US-made carrier. And she bought this carrier in both size 16" and 18" (FYI, that's the height of the body panel of the carrier) for her sons (Harraz 1+yo and si comel Jabb 5mths kan kyaz kan??)

so satu hari ni, aku came across one of her thread on Babyhawk Oh Snap (BHOS)SSC. Kyaz dah order this carrier cos she's so curious abt this carrier's headrest.. so aku pon saje lah bagi msg tanye OS dah sampai ke? Then saje tease dia ckp, "kyaz dah banyak carrier tu tanak ke let go yang lama?"

then she replied, "nak ke?"

ehh apa lagi... aku pm dia and tanya bebetul.. actually more abt the carrier ie best ke tak etc.. sebab ku ada hati mau beli satu sendiri hehehhehe.. tp masa tu tatau camane sebab tak reti nak pakai paypal etc

cut the story short, she really letting go her 16"...

after few days kami ber'message', carrier pon bertukar tangan.... yeayyyy

ohh sampai sekarang kami masih ber'msg' citer pasal SSC.. kan kak yaz kan?? Aku suka je layan hahahah nak beli tak mampu, so layan kan Kyaz shopping pon jadik la hehhehe

kyaz poslaju dalam USPS original box.. ku sungguh teruja bila tau dah sampai... sape yang tak teruja kan???

Faris tido bila carrier ni sampai, so aku try carry Fatini. (Haziq takmoh!).. she felt weightless... yeayyy i LOIKE this carrier -- MY FIRST SSC!!!

the infant harness is adjustable with these 2-level velcro -- Faris still using the 1st velcro on so that he sits higher up in the carrier

that's my happy model..

me wearing him outside for the first time in this carrier.. masa ni he's using the 2nd velcro, so he was kinda sat lower in the carrier (get what i mean?). Kalu tak pakai harness langsung, dia lagi tenggelam. Harness ni bukan je untuk bagi baby kecik dok tinggi sket dlm carrier, tp jugak ciri-ciri keselamatan. Lagi satu yang best nye, u can pass the baby without taking him out of the carrier. Just unbuckle the carrier, then pass to your DH (for eg), then DH leh terus buckle up the carrier... best kan???

bila jalan2 and Faris tak dok dalam carrier (contoh masa makan, dia duk kat baby chair), carrier ni aku buat camni.. just roll the body in, and jadik la camtu.. pelik gak rupanye kan hahha

"yupp the strap is yummy, mummy". Oh yes, daddy can wear him too... (FYI, DH never wear him using ringsling pon, ni first time tau. Bila ku cakap dalam keta yang daddy kena carry Faris, dia replied "tak kisah.." then bila tengok dia carry, ku pon sibuk2 la cakap "meh sini mummy carry plak", tp dia tak bagik tau hahhaha -Daddy suka ke carrier mummy nih??)

if u were wondering what is that strap doing behind my back -- that's the chest strap.. it's called so cos when u back carry, the strap is located at ur chest hahahha.. bila front carry, camtu lah rupanye.. kalu takde chest strap ni, nanti shoulder straps tu senang jatuh..

back carry -- first time in public. Thanks to the harness, it made the transition easier (just bukak shoulder straps, then shift him to ur back, then wear the shoulder straps again just like u are wearing ur backpack. Dont forget to lean fwd a bit, so that baby is secured when u were trying to backcarry. For amatuer seperti ku, pembantu spt DH atau maid ku sangat2 diperlukan, ai tak berani lagi buat sorang2 hahahha)

kalau tido, patut leh pakai hood tu so that kepala baby tak 'terlentuk' ke belakang. Tapi sebab Faris tera adjust kepala dia so that melekap terus kat dada mummy, so ku tak payah pakaikan hood tuh. (nnt ada action pic aku tunjuk kay)

kadang2 aku rolled up the hood so that leh jadik cam 'headrest' plus i dont like the hood to obscure my lovely print :p

itulah kisah nye....

And i really considered myself lucky to know kak yaz.. she's such a lovely sister to me.. (and of course sbb ku dapat beli carrier kyaz hehehh, p/s kyaz kalu mau let go carrier lain, bgtau saya dulu tau heheh)

And i'm considered luckier, cos not long after i decided to buy this carrier from Kyaz, Jumpsac.com tutup order SSC due to their overwhelming orders, then Liza snuggbaby.com was blessed with a good news that she's expecting her 2nd child, so had to temp close the store for order too... uhuk uhuk... sib baik beli lah.. kalu tak, terkulat2 diriku nak carik SSC cam Dian, tp sib baik dia pandai jahit & ada mesin jahit tau .... betoi tak???
