let's talk about something else...

last 2 wks, out of the blue, DH mentioned about airfryer... he said, let's buy it -- so i did some survey between Philips Airfryer (which is available in Malaysia) vs Tefal Actifry (which is not yet in Malaysia market -- but a friend of mine bought it fr the UK earlier this year..)

Philips airfryer -- retail at RM1,199 --> if offer can get RM999 in Harvey Norman
Tefal Actifry -- there are few models, the black one cheapest is GBP119.99
I asked my friend in Aussie to look for Tefal actifry (she's coming back to Malaya soon and i have few stuff with her to be shipped in June) -- cheapest she can found is AUD289 -- but only reached me earliest end of June.

Tefal actifry -- available in the UK, kalau beli, kena consider shipping. A friend of mine bought it quite cheap around RM600 and shipped it together using courier service (buat group buy ramai2 and share shipping -- memang murah la -- prob is, u have to buy it and send it to the UK address, a person in the UK has to pack it in the courier box and wait for the courier company to fetch it yada yada.... it hassle but worth it if u have somebody to help you with it!!)

so we finally settled with this after considering few factors, among them:

1. nak dapat cepat -- if Tefal fr Aussie, price around RM950-1000 -- but we'll receive it in August. DH konon ckp beli sini dgn harge yang lebih kurang, bleh dapat cepat so i can use it to cook my non-/less-oily confinement food... sooo thoughtful ehh??
2. price-wise --> Philips ni can get cheaper if buy from someone in FB (BarangMurahUK), priced around RM750 siap boleh installment 4x tp paling awal dapat end of august *gulp* lama tu -- again faktor waktu
3. warranty -- some would offer international warranty, tp tak sure if beli fr Aussie or UK, warranty void ke tak -- we are considering after-sales services/warranty -- kalau beli sini, ada problem, bleh terus pegi ke kedai tu balik (well, we both are non-risk-takers)
4. why Philips & not Tefal?? -- though Tefal nampak lagi besar compartment dia, and ada 'pengacau' (to make food evenly cooked -- so takyah terbalik2 kan during cooking), we are afraid that the 'pengacau' akan buat food eg ikan goreng hancur --> that is DH's concern. I never thought of that!! LOL..
5. and dari segi size too -- since our benchtop in the kitchen is limited, i prefer the compact size of Philips airfryer...

the difficult part maybe washing the basket/net -- but u can soak it b4 'scrub' it gently

first try -- re-frying leftovers McD fries -- airfried for 3-4 mins

airfried fish -- err fried for 5-7 mins

airfried marinade chicken... no oil, but the 'shiny' look comes from the honey i guess... tasty!!

Sewing: Pillow & bolster sets for baby..

dulu ayish pon mummy ada jahit sarung bantal.. tp bukan mummy jahit, maid yang jahit, mummy bagik arahan je hihihi guna kain flannel... this time, teringin sangat nak jahit guna kain yang comel2 eg designer cotton (DC) dari US.. so kenan lah dgn prints yang ini... dari dulu suka Michael Miller's Dino tu, tp rasa mcm kaler tu gelap sangat utk newborn.. so, aku beli yang ni...

these are the fabrics -- using designer cotton, bought from the US, joined group buy organized by Rozy.. i bought 2 yards of main prints each & 1 yard yang print tulisan nama2 dinosaurs tu...

ni lah nama kain designer and design nye... err.. ku tatau sgt psl DC (designer cottons) ni, beli je kalau kenan :P


and mcm biasa, bantal kekabu lah yang paling sesuai... this time bantal pon ganti lain sbb yang lama punye (dari zaman fatini) sudah terlalu banyak peta dunia hehehhe

the kekabu.... tu satu plastik RM20/kg ye...



mula2 tatau camane nak buat... mmg saje beli 2 tones kaler for main fabric and yang tulisan tu saje je beli gak, kot2 la nak di combo kan... akhirnye, ku buat jadik gini...

the boslter pillows -- bantal nye mmg sama saiz, tp sbb QC utk sarung out, sarung jadik satu pendek gemuk, satu lagi panjang and kurus... sumbat bantal, jadik la gitu hehehhe

the pillow sets -- 4 pillows (2 small & 2 medium) + 2 bolsters -- bawah tu adalah tilam yang masih togel, lom jahit sarung

the sarung tilam... tilam tu tilam lama abang Haziq, so mummy ganti sarung je, using the same prints with pillow cases... buat reversible --> navy blue print reverses to baby blue prints... tepi tu abiskan prints yang tulis nama2 dinosaurs... hujung tu pakai zipper... actually tak berapa kemas tu, plan nak jahit lagi tepi and hujung bagi tilam tu ngam2 dlm sarung...

dah siap tilam, abang Ayish yang sibuk...

FACEBOOK vs BLOG

lately, i'm bored with facebook!! same ol' same ol' story!! erghh....


i think i'm back at blogging when my time permits.. i love to tell stories of mine.. i love to share pics... in facebook, i think many of them are too judgemental... some are very 'fake', some are too busybody, some are giving sarcastic comments that they think are funny, but lil they know, it hurts sometimes.
And I'm sure some are bored with my pics (i'm sure they are bored with my kids' pics, pics of food that i cooked, pics of stuff that i sewed yada yada...)... and most of all, some are just not my friends pfftt....

so i need to clean up my FB friends' list... they are not my friend if they never say hie to me, they are not my friends when we never speak to each other... i hate adding people when they only ask an opinion in a group, and i replied, so they added me, thinking they have become my friend erghhh sorry to feel that way... cos i dont simply send 'request for friend if i never meet that person, so please please do the same... if u have met me, spoken in real term with me, found me worth to be your friend, then only add me... aku sombong? Hell i AM!!

Hospital bags' checklist

while am at it... i just paste it here...

Baby’s bag:

·         Dispo diapes x 5 --> some hospitals will ask for dispo dipes with baby's clothes when baby is born, so it really depends on the hospital's policy. Some private hospitals will provide everything and only ask for your own baby's clothing upon discharge.

·         Cloth diapers (AIO, prefolds, fitted) x 2 each --> depends if u wanna CDing from 0 hours.. i plan to give dispo first, then when baby is with me, i'll try to put him on CD.

·         Receiving blanket / Swaddle x 2 --> may not need these much cos baby will be swaddled in hospital's blanket after they were born and after cleaning up.

·         Flat nappies x 2 --> i just bring this -- donno for what LOL

·         Wipes/burp clothes x 3-4 --> just in case..

·         Baju & pants suit x 3 --> depends, if only staying for 24hours, 3 sets are enough. i packed 4 sets in my bag, all in different sizes. So depends on baby's size/weight... these are all new, no matter how many handed-down clothings fr previous child(ren), the clothings in the hospital bag are usually the new sets... i believe new baby must wear new clothes hihi...

·         Booties/mittens/hats x 3 sets -- up to you, usually i have them in a set of baju/pants.

·         Barut x 2 -- may not necessary for first day of life

·         Towel x 2 --

·         Toiletteries (baby bath, shampoo, powder, baby oil, lotion, baby wipes) -- i bring the travel pack/small bottle

·         Wetbag x 2 -- to toss soiled clothes / diapes

·         Ringsling -- if u wanna babywear your baby...

Mummy’s bag

·         Pink book / appointment book/card / GL -- A MUST!! these 3 things are in my handbag all the time now

·         Phone charger (& phone) [+ camera] -- never forget this! hihi.. (and i can never rely on DH for these... dia lagi panic and donno what to pack/bring once i'm in labour!)

·         Blouse/shirts (going home attire) -- donno which shirts to bring, some suggest maternity blouse cos u may still look at least 7mths preggy even after giving birth \O/..

       but i'll bring something loose with front button for easy BF.

·         Palazzo/pants/skirts/kain batik x 1 (going-home attire) -- i usually go home with kain batik je.. wear anything loose that you are comfy with..

·         Sweater -- u may need a sweater esp if the room is air-conditioned.

·         Scarves/hijabs – 1 that matches hospital gowns hihi.. hosp gown is purple... and another for going home..

·         Panties x 2-3 -- depends, u may need extra. Some suggest disposable panties, but i'm not comfy with the dispo ones. You may still fit in the maternity panties, so dont be too ambitious to bring your pre-preggy-sized panties (reminder to self LOL)

·         Nursing bras / breastpads x 2-3 -- for easier BFing, breastpads may not be necessary as breastmilk only comes out or your breasts only engorge after 2-3 days.

·         Socks x 2 -- my past experience --> socks in the labour room & at night in the room is a must!... so, 2-3 pairs may be needed.

·         Towel -- untuk mandi... takkan tanak mandi kan?? Jangan lupa mandi wiladah ye...

·         Slipper --

·         Toiletteries (shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, hairbrush, hair scrunchie)

·         Cloth pads x 4-6 -- I have stopped wearing dispo pads since more than 2 years ago, and this will be my first experience using CPs in postpartum period.

·         Mini wetbags for CPs

·         Minyak herbanika / barut -- not a must, but u can start using them if u want to.

·         Fooooodddd (milo, biscuits, flask) -- can pack biscuits and MILO Fuze, u maybe hungry after delivery, but hospital will give some food for you.. depends u can telan or not. I cant telan their Milo huhu..

 OTHERS:

- baby's carseat -- installed in the car

- partner's clothes and toiletteries -- ni pepandai sendiri lah boleh?? :P

Blogger on iPhone..

for blogging using iPhone, i use Blogger apps.
okay sikit la, and kalau boring2 tu sempat la buat entry...
kalau ada gamba, masuk guna apps tu je, cuma the pics tak bleh edit.. takleh nak boh caption atau susun ikut sequence kita nak bercerita... gamba sume at the end of the entry pfttt....

so selalu masuk gamba guna apps Blogger on hp, pastu bukak pc baru edit... tp kalau banyak2 sgt pics, penat plak la nak edit, nak susun ikut sequence bla bla bla...

just noticed, pics sume blur bila aku adjust to large-scale.
so ni baru reset my pics setting... sorry for the blurry pics in the earlier posts... (malas la pulak nak edit balik -- dah jadik mcm buat entry baru plak)


apa apps on iphone yang senang nak buat blog entry ekk?? kalau bleh nak free.. hahhaha... nak best tp tanak baya... camano?? hehhehe...

ANC @ 37 weeks

last Friday was my 3rd ANC in UKMSC...
this time berdebar lebih sikit sbb nak scan baby and tgk dia dah pusing ke belum...

we arrived around 8.20am, registered and my turn no. 5.
went to have my urine, BP & weight checked.
if ANC, mmg aku tak breakfast dulu..

BP: 100/56 mmHg
PR: 81 bpm
urine: leukocyte 1+, nitrite nil, glucose nil, protein 1+ ===>>  but prof decided not to do anything yet, as BP was normal, and only asked me to drink plenty of water.

Weight: instead of gaining, i lost 600g fr last week's weight... maybe sbb puasa 2 hari dalam minggu tu kot... :D -- tu 1st time sepanjang 4x preggy weight turun instead of naik hehehhe...


then, dlm 8.45am, masuk jumpa Prof.
scanned and alhamdulillah, the head is down :happy dance:
patut lah macam rasa 'active movement' kat bahagian atas, ingat kan kuat menumbuk, rupanye kuat menyepak!!

and ukur2 parameters -- estimated fetal weight now suda jadik 3.3kg huhuhu... serem nihhh...
prof explained, last week dia breech, measurement maybe tak accurate, and with subsequent babies, mmg expected baby makin lama makin besar huhuhu lagi la ai seremmm nih... takpe lah, pape pon janji baby sihat & dipermudahkanNya...

pastu, prof cakap, next whole week dia ada kat Kuching. If i go into labour, Dr. Yuli akan cover (sib baik doctor fomfuan gaks)..

next appointment is 15.6.12 -- or PAC if in labour...

pastu aku just bgtau lately the contraction agak tak selesa (bukan sakit) tp more intense than Braxton Hicks and sampai keliling pinggang. Selalu happened in the evening/at night. Contoh nye hari sebelum, sepanjang driving balik for 20mins, aku dapat 3-4x contraction yang menangkap pinggang...

So she suggested a CTG for around 20mins, ok lah, pasrah je...
Nurse (ke PK?? sbb uniform mcm PK kalau kat wad bawah).. pasangkan dalam 9.15am and janji dtg tgk pukul 9.30am.
Datang tgk, kertas CTG tu tak berjalan... ohh aku sabar lagi... so dia suruh buat lagi 15mins, orang lain pulak datang tgk, this time, the detector utk contraction pulak tak detect... adohaii mengong betul... adjust lagi, suruh buat lagi...

hmm camwhoring gamba tgh buat CTG.. sejam kena tunggu, penat weih... tp best sbb bleh rehat2 hihihi...

ini worang saje je tayang milo 'free' dia... mentang2 ai tgh terbaring, nak sip pon tak dapek... takpe takpe... ada lori ada bas....

nilah mesin CTG tu... no merah tu is baby's heartrate, yang hijau tu contraction.. nilah yang lepas first half an hour yang tak jadik gak tu sbb contraction x leh detect...



Lepas tu, aku yang adjust sendiri esp time contraction, sbb b4 tu mmg even time contraction, paling tinggi pon reading was 30-35... padahal contraction kuat. SO last cycle tu, tiap kali contraction aku adjust and the reading mmg up to 65-69... ouchhh!!! But baby's heartbeat OK je...

Dekat sejam lah aku buat CTG.. ciss..!! (rasa tu je satu disadvantage kat atas tu -- staff tak trained sgt utk keje2 mcm tu esp the new staff!! @_@)

Then tunggu prof review the CTG, prof cakap ok, takde pape kalau ada pape, kena buat VE erghhh ai tak ready lagi you huhuhu

mintak MC, so terus balik... singgah BTR, brunch, then balik rumah rehat2 je....

kesian lah budak2 ni, dah seminggu cuti sekolah tak ke mana2 pon... nak buat camane, tak larat la mummy nak berjalan sgt... *sorry kiddoes*

Oh my 'pocket'!! --

Pagi semalam hantar Fatini ke ASPEN Centre @Dataran Sunway for SHaPe IV. This was her 3rd SHaPe since end of last year. This time, the theme was 'Yummy trail'..
She'll have jungle trekking and 'cooking healthy food' session..

After she got on the bus, we headed to Ikea for a breakfast, and decided to get my office chair that was sold out last few wks.. (alasan je tu nak shopping) lol...

jam dinding - upgrade yang lama dalam bilik tido! (RM45)

coat hanger yang mmg purposely utk menyangkuut handbagssss ku... tp ada gak beg2 lain menumpang kasih tu!! (harga RM119)

kerusi baru utk mummy menjahit dgn lebih selesa heheheh... -- hari tu nak beli dah 'out of stock'.. ni paling murah yang selesa.. RM199. Yang lain2 beli storage box Antonius tu nak letak CD, and 1-2 lagi bende kecik apa ntah...


Then, we went to The Curve cos i wanna grab Bisky Bosky cloth pads fr Qhaty, she opens a booth almost every wknd at The Street booths area.. I grabbed 3 pcs 'heavy flow' pads at RM100. The one i bought are with zorb inner.. Slightly thicker but should be more absorbance than fleece. She has not many prints with zorb ones, so i picked this 3...

Then we walked towards e@curve cos i wanna visit Mom's Care warehouse sale.. Lixa suda borong the day before, so aku pon teruja gak hahaha... But we stopped at a booth yg jual shirt boys with necktie... Alololo soooo cute!! We bought 1 set for Haziq and 1 set for Ayish!! Almost bought the smallest one for baby but hmm harga sama dgn 1 set Ayish punye.. So kensel! Hahhaha.. But amoi tu charged rm90 (konon diskaun fr rm94), bila balik we all kira patut rm49+rm35 = rm84!! Ceisttt Daddy pon x kira balik main bayo je.. Sbb tu lah hal2 sopping ni mmg keje org pompuan kan kan kan??!

At e@curve, we stopped at EpiCentre (kedai jual brg2 Apple eg iphone, ipad, bukan jual buah epal!!) -- found new flip casing for my iphone.. Yeayyy!!! Akhirnye hehehe... Sedih woo yg lama punye suda terkopek2, anak2 sedara aku 'malu' sbb makcik dia pakai casing koyak rabak, ceisttt!!!

My criteria was a tough side casing & wide base at the flip.. Sbb aku ramai hero, so kena yg tahan lasak. Tak bleh ug jahit sambung2 kat flip dia sbb sure cepat koyak!! And finally aku amik kaler merah.. Ada oren gak, comel!!

Then we found the Mom's Care sale -- xde orang!! Pelik gaks!! Met Lilly there.. Yang oso teracun-ed dgn playmat yg Lixa beli the day before lol...

I bought few baby's stuff -- another hooded towel, receiving flannel blankets (plan nak buat bedung), 1 set (of 2) jumpsuit for age 3-6mo & bantal bentuk karipap tu sbb dia murah hahaha... Haziq (daddy sebenonya) pow mummy dgn seketul kereta hotwheel (oso seketul utk ayish gak), sib baik rege rm6/each heheh..

Then, we went to Ikano, konon nk gi Harvey Norman nk tgk demo Philips Airfryer yg DH sebut nk belikan hari tu... Ohh i suka je kalau org nk beli kn hehehe...

Stopped jab kat Brands Outlet. Daddy beli 3 tshirts for RM50, mummy plak pow daddy belikan baju 2ekor spiderman for the boys and top supergirl utk Fatini...

Then pegi HN, ada demo airfryer tu, dia tgh masak nugget. Tanye punye tanye (mmg mcm nak terus dah tu), mamat tu ckp now harga RM1099, black or white units... Dapat free cooler box.
Tanye lah if bleh dpt offer price yg 2 minggu lepas, dia ckp boleh tanye boss (ceihh ntah2 tu mmg rege sekarang!!!) so dia bagik la harge RM999 kalau we all nak beli. So, kami pon terus beli.. Hahaha.. Suka buat keje gini!! Terjah and beli!

Semalam tak sempat try, pagi ni subuh2 tu baru bukak kotak and first try using the airfryer -- re-fry McD fries yg beli semalam...


Before balik, singgah Macy, intai katil, ada kenan tp harge rm2-3K utk headboard and bedframe je (yg ada storage drawer), gulppp!! Tunggu fikir dulu...

Pastu we all pon balik rumah... OTW tu, minah yg nak beli stroller Sweet Cherry aku, called ckp nak beli and pikap kat rumah... Oh alhamdulillah, rezeki... Baru keluar kan duit, ada gak yg nak 'bagi' duit balik hihi...

So itulah kisah jual-beli beli,beli dan beli  kami semalam....
